Highlights

October 2025. Honored to have my recent paper, “Which Country Counts? The Limits of Country-of-Origin Labels in Global Supply Chains,” presented at the 16th Biennial International Conference on Industrial Logistics (ICIL 2025) in Tokyo. The paper highlights the limitations and systemic effects of the traditional “Made in X” label and argues for dynamic, data-linked transparency systems that better reflect how value is created across modern supply chains. July 2025. Happy to share that our journal submission, “Enhancing Transparency in Buyer-Driven Commodity Chains for Complex Products: Extending a Blockchain-Based Traceability Framework Towards the Circular Economy,” to the special issue on digital, resilient, and sustainable supply chains of Applied Sciences is now published!
June 2025. Stuff I've been working on in my free time: (1) My Thyme is a privacy-first time management app that helps visualize, balance, and optimize your schedule by syncing with your existing calendars on your iPhone/iPad and offering intuitive insights without your data leaving your device. (2) sgoingon.com is a community-curated feed for local events, hangouts, and PSAs—no accounts, no noise, just an easy way to discover and share what’s happening beyond your social bubble (currently limited to Upstate NY).
March 2025. Check out my latest iOS apps: (1) Popops: A simple and lightweight take on “whack-a-mole” heavily inspired by retro arcade video games, and (2) WWYD - What would you do? A community-driven platform where users respond to daily hypothetical and real-world scenarios, then compare their choices with others.
February 2025. Humbled to deliver my first invited address at the International Conference on Web 6.0 and Industry 6.0 (WIn 6.0), featuring my paper, “Enhancing transparency in buyer-driven commodity chains for complex products: a blockchain-based traceability framework demonstrated through an apparel supply chain simulation.”
November 2024. Presented my paper at the 6th International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing under the “Integrating Novel Technologies for Supply Chain Performance” track in Prague. Passed my PhD A exam, which formalizes my PhD candidacy, and earned an M.S. on the way!
August 2024. Grateful to have served as a Research Mentor for the inaugural Student Research Institute organized by Harvard’s Undergraduate OpenBio Laboratory. Stay tuned for a link to the project my (high school) mentee and I developed on heart failure prediction using deep learning and explainable AI, which will soon be published as a Scopus-indexed book chapter.
